Design Team and eMail Silhouette Projects

This is our fourth week of the silhouette challenge.  I have a combination posting with a couple of email entries and more designs from out illustrious DT.

This first image is from Margaret in Yorkshire England and she writes:

"I made this card using Hobbyart Scene-It stamps and the 3 Balloon stamps from Clarity Stamps.  The Balloons are outline stamps, but by stamping and embossing on to black card I was able to cut out the shapes and turn them into silhouettes.  I used Pro Markers to colour in the Countryside scene.  I used the medium sized balloon to stamp an abstract design as a background for the card.  Hope you like it."

Our next email entry is from Dawn also from Yorkshire and she writes:

"Thanks for another great challenge!  Here's a card I made using Lavinia stamps for the foliage; the main image of the children with their balloons is a clear stamp I picked up at a craft shop recently, with no particular branding.  I thought it was just right for this month's challenge.  I've called this picture "The Carnival Is Over" because I imagine the children walking home after a fun day at the fair!"

Now from our wonderful Design Team......

More Silhouettes for Your Inspiration

Today is a special Sunday! Most of us are celebrating new life in one form or another. While I will be praising God today in song, I will also be thanking him for new life coming to our family.  I now have two daughters-in-law expecting this year!

We already have some wonderful creations in our challenge and I am mindful of Deanna's creation (#2) and what it represents to her and to me.

We have more wonderful inspiration continuing our theme of Silhouettes.

Do check out our sponsor this month over at Carolines Creative Stamps and see her wonderful designs.

Don't forget you may enter our challenge up to three times.  The theme is silhouettes and your silhouette must be part of a scene. If you don't have a blog you may still enter by sending me your jpg file and I will attach it for you.  Please make a new project - no back linking.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful Easter Sunday!

Challenge #4 - Silhouettes

Our April challenge is all about silhouettes.  Believe me, I needed a dictionary to help spell that word.  What is a silhouette you ask? According to Merriam-Webster a silhouette is "a likeness cut from dark material and mounted on a light background or one sketched in outline and solidly colored in."

All of our wonderful creations this month will include something "solidly colored in against a lighter background."  To help us with this challenge we have a wonderful sponsor who has created a number of silhouette images - Carolines.

Hi everyone,

I'm Caroline of Carolines Creative Stamps and we are based in Liverpool, UK, just down the road from Penny Lane!

I have been rubber stamping for nearly 25 years and designing stamps for 22 of them!  A few years ago I started changing some of my designs to digital format. After working so long in black and white it's wonderful to be designing in colour.  My preferred crafting area is greeting's cards but the designs can be used in scrapbooking as well.

I am currently waiting for a new web site and in the meantime my designs, both rubber and digital, are available from my blog.  This month's challenge is 'Silhouettes' and the design team has created their designs from the digikits Silhouettes 1, 2 or 3.  The winner will receive a £15 to spend in from my site...either rubber or digital.

Without further ado, here are the wonderful designs from the DT using Carolines images:

Ok, so now it is your turn to enter a silhouette project.  You may use any scenic image to create your project.  Stampscapes, Sutter, Lavinia and the others all have images in silhouette.  Please check out Carolines images too and let her know how much you like them.

You have until 6:00 PM May 4th to enter your silhouette project.  This month is a little wonky ending in the middle of the week so I am extending the entry dates so that everything lines up with Sunday. Please only enter new projects (no backlinking) and don't forget you may enter up to 3 times (gives you more chances to win).

Thanks for visiting!
